A biography of Nicholas Sever written for a history class at Harvard in 1930. Nicholas Sever was born in 1680, graduated from Harvard in 1701, and served as a minister for several years. He was a tutor at Harvard for twelve years. In 1728, he married Sarah Warren Little, a widow in Kingston, Massachusetts. Sever settled there, became a merchant, entered into the shipping trade, and was active in town affairs. The biography gives the facts of his life, but does not attempt to place him into his larger world. Included in the paper is a list of silver owned by Sever when he left Harvard.
